Winner of two bronzes at the recently concluded Paris 2024 Olympics, shooter Manu Bhaker had been subjected to intense online trolling and criticism for her appearance in various events donning her cherished medals. Her recent ramp walk at the Lakme fashion week broke the internet but the pro shooter is still trolled by armchair netizens who have nothing better to do than cribbing about lives of successful women online. In an interview with the media, the 22 year old shooting star addressed the brutal trolling and her upcoming goals. She quipped,
kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki shayad kuch zyada he ho raha hai BUT mere liye theek bhi hai
(sometimes i feel this is too much but i am fine.)
kyunki iske baad mai jab bilkul band kar deti hu toh mai kahin nahi jati hu
(‘cause after these, when i completely stop, i don’t go anywhere.)
aur pichel in aath—saadhe aath saal mein maine zyada events attend nahi kiye hai
(and i haven’t attended too many events in the last eight-eight and a half years.)
aur, mai kind of enjoy bhi karti hu; chalo ye bhi life ka part hai
alag alag logo se milne ka jo opportunity mil rahi hai
alag alag bachcho se baat karne ki jo opportunity mil rahi hai
toh fir, why not?

Further addressing the grievances of the trolls, Manu Bhaker remarked
i am making the most out of it
i know my goal
it is shooting only
nobody needs to remind me of that please
The shooter was on a three month break as directed by her coach before the Olympics. Regarding training, Bhaker, who is gunning for gold in the 2028 LA Olympics, quipped,
training mai november mein completely shuru kar dungi…but beech beech mein i train a little bit.
